Assemblymember Friedman Seeks To House the Homeless

(Sacramento) - Working to solve the homeless crisis is a major priority in California. At the State Capitol, leaders like Assemblymember Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) are currently seeking compassionate change. She’s partnering with Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) to pass AB1971, which would help the gravely disabled have a second chance at life. “In Los Angeles County alone, over 800 homeless individuals died on the streets last year,” says Assemblymember Friedman. “For me, that’s inexcusable. We have to do more to give people in crisis the help that they need.”
