Join Me for a Virtual Town Hall on Homelessness on Saturday, 1/29 @ 10 a.m.
Dear Neighbor,
I invite you to join me on Saturday, January 29, at 10 a.m. for a Virtual Town Hall on Homelessness. Joining me will be representatives from Caltrans, the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) to discuss the state’s recent investments to combat homelessness, state agencies’ processes to address homelessness, how services are provided to the unhoused community by our local homeless authority, and current efforts to beautify our highways.
To attend this event, please click here to RSVP. A Zoom link will be emailed out to all RSVP’d guests shortly before the town hall.

Since first being elected, I have consistently impressed upon the Governor’s Office and Caltrans the urgent need to address issues such as homelessness, road clean-ups, and infrastructure repairs in our community. As a result of these efforts, our district has received Caltrans services that have addressed dozens of safety issues at nearly 30 state-owned properties.
At our town hall, we will discuss the results of these service requests, the state’s historic budget investments, as well as how entities like the CHP and LAHSA work together to ensure the safety of our housed and unhoused residents.
I hope to see you this Saturday, and as always, it is my pleasure to serve you.
Respectfully,
LUZ M. RIVAS
Assemblywoman, 39th District
