Legislative Successes and Budget Wins Coming to Our District

Dear Neighbors,

As the year comes to a close, I want to take the opportunity to celebrate our budget and legislative wins this year!

Please enjoy this newsletter that will briefly summarize what our district has achieved in 2023.

District Budget Wins

Despite California’s tight budget year, we secured nearly $5 million for the district.

FREE District Events: Job Fairs, Health Screenings, & Trunk or Treat

District Events

Dear Neighbors,

We have several events available to you this October. Our office is collaborating with community members and organizations all month long to provide you with networking opportunities, free health screenings, emergency preparedness resources, and legislative updates.

My team and I are excited to see you!

Free Backpack Giveaway

Dear Neighbors,

This Friday, July 21 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., I am joining L.A. Care Health Plan, the Community Resource Center of Los Angeles, and Blue Shield of California for a Back to School Resource Fair at:

10807 San Fernando Road, Pacoima, CA 91331.

Families with children ages 3 years and up can qualify for one backpack per student, while supplies last. Due to the limited quantity, we highly encourage parents and guardians to be present with their student to receive a backpack.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Free Meals for Children in AD43

Dear Neighbors,

There are several free meal programs available to families during the summer. Children under the age of 18 can receive free breakfast or lunch through schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) or the Summer Food Service Program.

California State of Emergency has been Declared

Hello Neighbor,

A State of Emergency has been issued for California as our state experiences a winter storm.

A wind advisory and flood watch have been declared for the LA region through tomorrow morning until 10 a.m. Here is a list of resources I’ve curated to help you prepare for this storm.
