Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant

Dear Friends,

This has been a challenging year for our small businesses and nonprofits.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and nonprofits are the pillar of our communities. Back in March, I led the effort in the Legislature to ensure nonprofits are included in COVID-19 recovery efforts. They serve as a critical partner to state and local governments by providing and performing a wide variety of services that help our most vulnerable communities.

As a result of our efforts, the Governor recently announced the creation of a $500 million Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant. The grant is aimed at helping small restaurants and nonprofits that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants will be administered by the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA).

CalOSBA is currently developing the program. To stay updated on small business initiatives and to be alerted when the Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Fund application is open, please visit: https://business.ca.gov/osba-signup/. I highly recommend you sign-up to receive alerts and to apply for the grant when applications become available.

If you need assistance, please contact my office at (818) 504-3911.

It is always my pleasure to serve you.

Happy Holidays!

Respectfully,

Luz Rivas
