As of this morning, no lives have been reported lost in Sylmar and the fire is 76% contained. I am grateful to our community for following evacuation orders, staying proactively updated and sharing resources.

DISASTER RELIEF INFORMATION FOR PROPRTY TAXPAYERS
If property was substantially damaged or destroyed by a Governor-declared disaster, Prop.19 provides for your property's tax base to be transferred to a comparable property within the same county or another county in California. For additional help, please use the County’s Contact Form.

CONSUMER PROTECTION & PRICE GOUGING
If you see price gouging or if you've been the victim of it, we encourage you to file a report with the California Department of Justice at: oag.ca.gov/report

Have an emergency kit ready
Check on loved ones who may need assistance
Keep roads clear to allow emergency crews to work effectively
Please make way for utility workers to work effectively
