
CalFresh provides critical food and nutrition resources to over 5.5 million Californians. As a result of the federal shutdown, beginning November 1st. CFAP (California Food Assistance Program) benefits will also be delayed.
WIC benefits ARE guaranteed through November 30, 2025.
If you or someone you know uses these programs, plan ahead and use the resources below to stay informed about available food options.
To help mitigate the hardships that many households will experience, Governor Newsom has deployed the California National Guard and California Volunteers to support food banks, and has authorized the Department of Social Services to accelerate $80 million to food banks. We are directing all CalFresh recipients the CDSS CalFresh website and the Customer Service Center (1-877-847-3663) for current updates.
